UNEXMIN meeting - UNEXMIN group studying actual conditions for UX-1 at Deep Ecton

WPs and specific objectives

WP1 Robotic Functions Validation: Coordinated by Tampere University of Technology (TUT) – this WP aims to produce requirement specifications for UX-1 and also validate key robotic components in the specific application environment.

WP2 Scientific instrument design and adaptation: Coordinated by University of Miskolc (UNIM) – the target in this WP is to define, adapt, test and calibrate the various scientific instruments that UX-1 will carry on board.

WP3 Autonomy for mine exploration and mapping: Coordinated by Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) – within this WP we will design and develop the software components of the system tailored to the specific requirements of the inaccessible environment.

WP4 Multi-robot platform development: Coordinated by Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering of Porto (INESC) – the objective is to build a new class of mine explorer service robots, capable of surveying flooded underground mine sections, working individually or as a group.

WP5 Stakeholder mobilisation: Coordinated by European Federation of Geologists (EFG) – the main purpose of WP5 is to map, understand and process Stakeholder’s views and requirements with regards to mission objectives, instrumentation or data output formats.

WP6 Post-processing and data analysis functions: Coordinated by Resources Computing International Ltd (RCI) – the target of this WP is to develop solutions to convert raw data recordings into 3D datasets.

WP7 Demonstration / Pilots: Coordinated by Geological Survey of Slovenia (GeoZS) – this WP has two targets: to test the working prototype robots capabilities under real-life conditions and also demonstrate how this technology can address the needs of customers and end-users.

WP8 Dissemination, technology transfer and exploitation Coordinated by La Palma Research S.L. (LPRC) – this WP will facilitate dissemination, awareness raising and transfer of technologies.

WP9 Project management: Coordinated by University of Miskolc (UNIM) – the final WP will ensure the successful implementation of the project.
